KGN PILLINGER ‘BOOSTING & FABRICATING’ CHAMPIONS OF THE FUTURE
For the past nine years we have participated in an active sponsorship program within the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. In 2011 we saw our sponsored team Swan Yamaha win the Championship Title in arguably the most thrilling finale in the history of the series.
We continue to support and build on our partnerships with teams and riders and look forward to the 2018 season as an official sponsor and Water Engineering Partner of the Bennetts BSB Championship together with sponsorship partnerships with some very exciting teams for the upcoming season.
Stuart Higgs, BSB Championship Series Director, commented: “The Bennetts British Superbike Championship is supremely grateful for long-term sponsors such as KGN Pillinger. Jeff Norman has been a great supporter of riders and teams across the series, including back to Tommy Hill’s incredible championship-winning year.”
In the premier British Superbike class – as the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of water pumping equipment and services – KGN Pillinger is pleased to be offering personal support for Wiltshire hard-charger Tommy Bridewell, who will be taking in his fourteenth season in BSB this year aboard the Oxford Racing Ducati.
“I’m really looking forward to riding the new Ducati Panigale V4R this season in BSB with the Oxford Racing Team and Moto Rapido boys; and to have personal support from a reputable company in KGN Pillinger – who are longstanding supporters of the series – is a great boost for me also. I look forward to chatting to their team and guest this season and hope to give them plenty to celebrate,” said Tommy Bridewell.
In the National 1000cc Superstock class, KGN Pillinger will continue the support of Joe Collier, who after finishing third in his debut campaign in 2018, will be one of the series’ favourites this time around with his CPD Kawasaki squad.
Collier, a double British champion already at just 23-years-of-age, said: “Jeff and the team at KGN have been an integral part of my racing campaigns for a number of seasons, and that personal support is, and has been, invaluable throughout. I feel very much part of the KGN Pillinger family, and having already secured two British championship titles with their support – here’s hoping we can add another this time around in 2019.”
True Heroes Racing is another project that is very close to our hearts and we are pleased to continue that partnership into 2019. Founder and Race Team Manager Phil Spencer and his team do a sterling job, with the primary focus to support injured service men and woman. Something they have been doing successfully since 2012. This season they will take in the National 1000cc Superstock class and Ducati Tri-Options Cup.
Phil said of the continued support: “The nature of True Heroes Racing means we are heavily reliant on sponsorship support to fund the opportunities we offer Wounded, Injured and Sick UK Service personnel and Veterans – to become directly involved in competitive motorcycle racing as an aid to their rehabilitation and adjustment to life outside the military.
Therefore, it’s brilliant when companies such as KGN Pillinger offer financial support to the team and outstanding when they see the tangible benefits of this and decide to sustain that sponsorship to the team and those who we support. 2019 marks our second season benefitting from substantial financial support from Jeff and adds us to his illustrious support portfolio within the British Superbike Championship.”
In addition to the aforementioned budget support, KGN Pillinger will also supply leading British Superbike teams, McAMS Yamaha and Smiths Racing BMW, with our pre-fabrication service.
Both teams will avail of bespoke Light Hoods which you will see positioned in their respective set-ups at all BSB rounds – lighting up the garage area and assisting the workflow for both teams’ mechanics, in what can be a high-pressure environment for two leading British Superbike Championship contenders.
