Creating brand awareness is essential to the KGN Pillinger business model.
For the past eight years we have participated in an active sponsorship program within the Bennetts
British Superbike Championship. In 2011 we saw our sponsored team Swan Yamaha win the Championship Title in arguably the most thrilling finale in the history of the series.
We continue to support and build on our partnerships with teams and riders and look forward to the 2018 season as an official sponsor and Water Engineering Partner of the Bennetts BSB Championship together with sponsorship partnerships with some very exciting teams for the upcoming season.
We are delighted to announce our sponsorship of EHA Racing (@eharacing) who have two riders competing in both the National 1000cc Superstock and British Supersport classes. As avid supporters of motorbike racing over the past 8 seasons, KGN Pillinger are excited to make a return to main stream team sponsorship this year, with EHA Racing boasting a formidable line up of riders in both classes.
The National 1000cc Superstock riders are formed of long term KGN Pillinger sponsee Joe Collier, who teams up with Andy Reid forming what is hopefully one of the strongest teams in the class.
Speaking of Collier, Jeff Norman, MD, KGN Pillinger became a big supporter of the young rider a number of years ago and has since had an active role in his sponsorship and development.
“We have followed and supported Joe for a number of years now and are very excited about him joining EHA Racing. Joe has a fantastic future ahead of him and we believe he has what it takes to go all the way. Racing with such a well-supported team will certainly help Joe’s development as a rider and having the equally talented Andy Reid as a team mate, should prove to be a great motivation and indeed competition for both riders! Hopefully the end result will be a Championship 1 & 2 victory for EHA!”
In addition, we are also delighted to be supporting a very deserving cause by sponsoring the True Heroes Racing Team (@herosracing), headed up by team manager Phil Spencer, the vision was set up in 2012 with the idea to try and use competitive motorsport as a way of restoring a sense of direction and focus for our injured UK Service personnel. For 2018, they will be competing in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship and Ducati Tri-Options Cup with a 4-rider line up, this is also the team’s first step on the road towards having the first injured military team racing large capacity machines in the premier British Superbike Class.
Last season, KGN celebrated its 50th birthday. In recognition of this and our recent expansion of the KGN Motorsport Fabrication brand, supplying motor racing teams at the event with specialist stainless steel and aluminium products such as wash down tanks and tyre racks, we were delighted to be recognised at the British Superbikes with a dedicated race named after us in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship – The KGN Pillinger 50 Round of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 in association with Black Horse.
The Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship was held on Sunday 16th April 2017 and was won by Richard Cooper.
We are delighted to be recognised for our achievement in engineering for the past 5 decades and, as keen supporters of the BSB Series for many years, to be rewarded by the championship itself.
Our expanded portfolio into motorsport sponsorship, matches our continued investment in engineering technology, stainless steel and aluminium fabrication services which we believe will benefit all teams in the future.
Working over the years with SMR Yamaha, Be Wiser Kawasaki, ePayMe Yamaha and EHA Raching along with the BSB Series provides excellent opportunities for us to create brand synergy with like-minded companies whose ethos fits our own.
