Project Description

Southern Water invests in improvements for Peel Common

Southern Water has invested in improvements to its Peel Common Wastewater Treatment Works off Newgate Lane, Fareham.

Peel Common, which sits on a 37-acre site between Fareham and Gosport, treats about 800 litres of wastewater every second from almost 250,000 people in the surrounding area.

The work is the latest in a series of investments by Southern Water to improve the site’s performance.

Requirements: Supply and manufacture of two new final effluent booster sets for the site.

Fulfillment: Each booster set was identical. Both featured 3x Xylem Lowara pumps fitted with motor mounted 11kw inverter drives, Form 4 control panels, expansion vessels and stainless steel pipework.
